Dear Friends,
Grace Baptist Temple was founded in 1976.
Reverend Hayes Deitz was the pastor for the first fourteen years. Pastor Forrest Devore came to the church in 1990.
Many missionaries are supported through our faith promise program. Grace Baptist Temple believes that we should make every
effort to reach the lost. The church has a Bible Ministry that gives out thousands of New Testaments annually. Many King James
Version Bibles are given to those who need the Savior and need to grow in the Word.
"I thank the Lord for
the spirit of unity and compassion that the Lord has bestowed upon Grace Baptist Temple. The power of prayer is greatly recognized
and exercised by our church. The grace of God is more than sufficient for all our needs. If you are looking a church
that is wanting to please God, and not man, please visit with us soon." - Pastor Devore
We Believe:
The Holy Bible
was written by men divinely inspired of God and is the record of God’s revelation of Himself to man. The Bible has God
for its author, salvation for its end, and truth, and without error.
There is one and only one living and true
God. God is an intelligent, spiritual, and personal Being, the Creator, Redeemer, Preserver, and Ruler of the universe. God
is infinite in holiness and all perfections. The eternal God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct
personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.
We believe that man was created in the
image and likeness of God. Man voluntarily sinned and fell from the grace of God into the condemnation of sin. All man are
sinners and without salvation in Jesus Christ are without hope.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for
the sins of all men. Jesus Christ was the substitute sacrifice, the only perfect sacrifice that could redeem man. Only through
the shed blood of Jesus Christ is there salvation.
We believe that those who accept Jesus Christ as their personal
Savior receive eternal life. Salvation is based totally upon grace through faith.
We believe in the resurrection
of the crucified body of the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is today seated at the right hand of the Father.
We
believe in the pre-millennial, imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ, at which time the church will be gathered unto our
Lord.
We believe that the Spiritual ordinances of the church are baptism by emersion and the Lord’s Supper.
The Lord’s Supper should be observed by believers as a symbol of their belief in the death, burial, and resurrection
of Jesus Christ.
We believe that the visible church is a congregation of baptized believers observing New Testament
principles, believing in it’s doctrine, observing the ordinances. The church and every member must accept the responsibility
to promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ, whole heartedly.
In Christ’s Love, Pastor Forrest
Devore
